My name is Sandra Froher (Prest) Sto:lo women Artist / Designer and Natural Dyer behind "Spirit Essence" formally known as Eco Tripping.
Spirit Essence is a collection of Nature Dyed fashion and natural products. The sustainable contemporary fashion garments are create on natural fibers and dyed from Mother Earth to tell the stories of my Sto:lo ancestors knowledge of plants and botanicals.
My process in the studio is slow and guided by nature, the natural colors follow the season and are mostly foraged locally. The design process is intuitive much like painting the outcome is led by the fabrics chosen.
The goal is to invite nature into our lives in the form of everyday objects and inspire a holistic sustainable and creative lifestyle.
All products like the spiritual bath soaks , art, scarves and dresses, are hand made and grown in my Eco garden or foraged locally on the unceded territory of the Songhees and Esquimalt Nations where I work, live and play.
